An epilogue is an end to a story, typically occurring after actual gameplay has finished, that serves as an account of what happened after the events of such. A number of game moderators have adopted epilogues as a traditional means to end a game. Regardless of whether the game had an actual conclusion (one player emerging supreme) or the GM simply could no longer find time to effectively manage it, they offer a dignified end to a game and its roleplay storyline, where applicable.

Just as Imperium Offtopicum IV was the first game to introduce WMD, it was the first to feature an epilogue, which later served as a foundation for a sequel instalment.
